あの音と、あいまいな記憶(1)/ That sound, blurred memories (1)

子供のころ、家族で家の裏の林の方に散歩した

父はラジカセと、雨が降る気配もないのにビニール傘を持って行った

たしか神社につづく道の手前か奥か、父は立ち止まりラジカセを地面に置いた

蝉の声を録音するんやって、と母は言ったかもしれない

透明のビニール傘を広げ、ラジカセのそばに置いた。

父はその方がいい音が録れるようなことを言ったように思う。

わたしは上を見上げた

蝉の鳴く樹々と葉の先に

空が見えた。

蝉の鳴く音は樹々に満ちて

空へ抜けていった。

 

 

 

I was little when my family took for a walk to the trees behind our house.

My father brought a radio cassette-tape recorder, and a vinyl  umbrella, even though it did not look like it would rain.

I think it was on the way to the jinja (shinto shrine), or past the jinja, my father put the recorder on the ground.

My mother might have said he was going to record the voice of cicada.

He opened the clear vinyl umbrella, and put it by the recorder.

I think at that time he might have said it would record better that way.

I looked up. far above the branches and the trees where cicada sounds,

I found the sky.

Noise of cicada filled among trees,

then faded into the sky.
